I’m a little surprised that his August and September numbers are as good as that but that may indicate that the stamina issue may not be as meaningful as I thought. You’re right that the decision may rest with whether an adequate bullpen replacement for him can be obtained or found. Kiko is definitely the guy I’d like them to go after.

The Cardinals don’t need to upgrade the fifth spot in the rotation and have the money to fill out the 25-man if desired. Maybe even Nick (@PH8) can now wrap his mind around the starter idea…well as long as TLR doesn’t use the 8th inning with three LHP.
