Chuck had an excellent post about Jason Motte and bullpen usage last week. With that in mind I thought Motte would be an excellent candidate for a graph of the week. The following chart shows his run value per 100 pitches by fastball velocity. For the chart more negative is good.
Looks like with this limited view, grip it and rip it is a good philosophy for Mr. Motte.
